FOSTERING COEXISTENCE WITH WILDLIFE

FOSTERING COEXISTENCE WITH WILDLIFE

Many conflicts and their resolutions are often human-oriented. These projects relate to the human dimensions of human-wildlife conflict.
The Smith CoEx lab is working on several aspects of this, including:
– The use of Socio-economic Models to determine aspects leading to negative attitudes towards dingoes
– Overcoming social and cultural barriers (including intolerance and inequity)
– The use of methods such as Future Enquiry Workshops to assist with getting stakeholders to communicate about conflict and seek resolutions.
